_ In effect since 1 September 2015

_ Article 95 of the BPR (EU no. 528/2012) requires that the active substances used for any biocidal product are exclusively sourced from companies that support the active substance for the specific PT (product type) and had submitted an application dossier for authorization of the active substance under the BPR. The companies and the supported active substances are published on the ECHA website on the "List of Active Substances and Suppliers".
_ The main goal of this regulation is to guarantee that only active substances with a certified quality are brought onto the market. And to stop free-riding companies that are not engaged in the authorization process under the BPR and do not possess the necessary data to support their active substance.
